Tes de Luna & Jason Hughes are a couple with a lot in common. Jason co-owned Sonic Boom Records in Seattle for 19 years and Tes owned Velouria Boutique & Gallery in Seattle for 8 years. Our shops were next door which was pretty sweet. We both sold our businesses and moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2016 (Tes's hometown). We love collecting records, playing music and making art. We're looking forward to making a creative space together in South Minneapolis at Rock Paper Scissors Goods.
Tes teaches many of the art classes in the workshop space. She graduated from Minneapolis College of Art & Design in the late 1990s. Since then she has been a freelance designer, photographer and art teacher.
Jason is responsible for sourcing the used and new vinyl in the shop. He spends his extra time at record shows and playing music.
A creative space offering art workshops & retail - selling records, paper goods, handcrafted jewelry, fine art and gifts.
Each month we host a gallery show for a new fine artist. Check out our events page for more info on workshops, art openings and other events.
